Dreams

Today I came really close to fulfilling one of my dreams. I was almost the only person on a subway car. Then this guy with boring shoes got on and sat down. Bummer.

I'm tired.

Kiva - Microloans

We Let You Loan to the Working Poor

Kiva's mission is to connect people through lending for the sake of alleviating poverty.

Kiva is the world's first person-to-person micro-lending website, empowering individuals to lend directly to unique entrepreneurs in the developing world.

The people you see on Kiva's site are real individuals in need of funding - not marketing material. When you browse entrepreneurs' profiles on the site, choose someone to lend to, and then make a loan, you are helping a real person make great strides towards economic independence and improve life for themselves, their family, and their community. Throughout the course of the loan (usually 6-12 months), you can receive email journal updates and track repayments. Then, when you get your loan money back, you can relend to someone else in need.

I just found this website, and it looks really cool. Check it out people. It allows you to lend anything from 25 - 375 dollars to underprivileged people in developing countries that are interested in starting businesses.

People say the darndest things.

Here are some excerpts from past msn conversations. I found them while browsing through my conversation history.

"It should come sometime in October, so I've got to get a good handle on how to assemble one of these puppies from the ground up before then."

"They are like little nuts and when you bite them a big explosion of heaven opens up then you swallow them and its like you fell in love for the very fist time.... "

"Ever since Dylan and I seen those Acai pills on Cnn and Oprah we have been taking them and losing so much weight so fast with no diet or excercise , we are living proof that it works like magic and they are only five dollars now to try from http://boairth.com"

"I going to go military if they let my brace in"

"asshole"

"i could duct tape the door in between here and her house closed... and then change all the locks on our side of the house.... people would ask why... and id say... she tried to poison me with 3 thousand year old kd"

Social Experiment

Today as I was walking to my friend Rodney's house and I pulled a dollar out of my pocket and left it on a storefront windowsill. I feel like a dollar is a good price for delivering momentary joy to a stranger.

Adventure

A record store is like a monstrous train, with all sorts of buttons and knobs and whistles. If you don't know what you're doing it can be intimidating, but if you know how to work the machine, you're set for the trip of your life.

I'm going downtown to check out some record stores today.

The Arctic Fox

About The Arctic Fox
The Arctic fox is a "thickly furred fox of Arctic regions; brownish in summer and white in winter". Its a furry little hunter that lives underground in holes and eats both animals and greenery.

Habitat
Its obvious that the arctic fox lives in the arctic. "But," you may wonder " where exactly does it live?" Well, the arctic fox often lives on tundra or even in mountains near the sea. It burrows into the ground and builds a home where it raises its young and sleeps.

Diet
The Arctic Fox is a meat eater. Its favourite thing to snack on is Lemmings, but it's been known to munch on Arctic Hares and even Reptiles. Sometimes it even steals eggs! The Arctic Fox is cool because it's a predator and a scavenger. Sometimes it hunts for its food, and other times it looks for leftovers from larger animals.

Appearance
The arctic fox can change colour. During the winter it takes on a white coat, and during the summer it takes on a darker grayish coat. It is between 50 and 60 cm long and weighs anywhere between 3 and 8 kg.

Interesting Facts
-The Arctic Fox has the warmest fur of any mammal.
-The Arctic Fox has furry paws that let it walk on top of the snow without breaking through.
-The Arctic Fox has amazing hearing, so amazing that it can hear little animals under the snow.
-The Arctic Fox is the Iceland's only native animal.

*Sigh*

Today I asked a bunch of random people (on msn) if I should write in my blog. Most of them didn't even know I had a blog. Here's how that went.

Person 1:
Me: Should I write in my blog now?
Them: Sure.
Me: Ok.

Person 2:
Me: Should I write in my blog now?
Them: Yes....Yes you should...and show me your blog.
Me: Ok.

Person 3:
Me: Should I write in my blog now?
Them: What are you going to blog about?
Me: Asking people if I should blog.
Them: Would you like to blog?
Me: No, you misunderstand... I'm writing peoples responses to this exact question in my blog.
Them: I see.
Me: Ok.
Them: I'm confused as to why but right......
Me: Huh?
Them: What would be the point or what do you get?
Me: Hang on I'll show you
Them: kk.

Person 4:
Me: Should I blog now?
Them: Yeah man I've been checking every time I go on and nothing new since yesterday... Is there a way I can RSS your blog?
Me: Yeah click the little RSS button on the address bar.
Them: Ah thanks.

Person 5:
Me: Should I blog now?
Them:
*13 minutes pass*
Me: Thanks for NOTHING.
Them: Wat? Shut ur Face.

That was boring. Here is a picture of Lego Stephen Hawkings in space.

I'd invite you over for pillow fights in the abyss.

I'm listening to Catherine Feeny - Always Tonight.

No Title.

I'm feeling rather bored. I have some homework coming up tonight. I took a nap when I got home. How exciting.

I posses a very rare set of skills. As I was waiting for the bus today I decided to take advantage of my interesting gift. A van drove by, and I sent it spinning hundreds of feet into the air using just my mind. As it was twirling back down to the earth I caught it inches above the concrete and sent it flying upwards once again. I thought about the man inside the truck and how my carelessness may endanger him if his van were to ever hit the ground. So I whisked him right out of the van and gently sat him down on the ground. I then summoned him a brand new van, shiny and better equipped than the last and sent him on his way. I forget what happened to his old van, its probably sitting in a tree somewhere wheels pointing towards the sky.

I think I'll use my powers more often, but I really should be more careful.

Here we go again.

I guess I'll start blogging again. Lately I've felt like I have something to say. We'll See how this goes.

Here is a list of things I have realized/decided in the past few days.

  1. Apparently records don't fit into all milk crates.
  2. The monkey in my monkey poster will never stop thinking.
  3. Collecting CD's, Tapes and Vinyl is my hobby.
  4. Contrary to common opinion, coffee isn't really all that great.
