The Arctic fox is a "thickly furred fox of Arctic regions; brownish in summer and white in winter". Its a furry little hunter that lives underground in holes and eats both animals and greenery.

Habitat
Its obvious that the arctic fox lives in the arctic. "But," you may wonder " where exactly does it live?" Well, the arctic fox often lives on tundra or even in mountains near the sea. It burrows into the ground and builds a home where it raises its young and sleeps.

Diet
The Arctic Fox is a meat eater. Its favourite thing to snack on is Lemmings, but it's been known to munch on Arctic Hares and even Reptiles. Sometimes it even steals eggs! The Arctic Fox is cool because it's a predator and a scavenger. Sometimes it hunts for its food, and other times it looks for leftovers from larger animals.

Appearance
The arctic fox can change colour. During the winter it takes on a white coat, and during the summer it takes on a darker grayish coat. It is between 50 and 60 cm long and weighs anywhere between 3 and 8 kg.

-The Arctic Fox has the warmest fur of any mammal.
-The Arctic Fox has furry paws that let it walk on top of the snow without breaking through.
-The Arctic Fox has amazing hearing, so amazing that it can hear little animals under the snow.
